Eric Metaxas on Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Well, I have finally been reading Eric Metaxas on Dietrich Bonhoeffer and have enjoyed it thus far. Presently, I've gotten to about 1933. By this time Hitler is rising to power and Bonhoeffer has done his doctoral work and traveled to the US and Mexico. Back in Germany, he settles into ministry in the midst of social and economic upheaval.
Has anyone else read this biography or perhaps another and can you reflect on what you gleaned as you read on Bonhoeffer and this era in German and world history? Also, does anyone have comments that show how events then parallel with events in the US now?
